Export Favorite Function
We’ll explain how to export favorite (Internet Explorer 6 and 7) and export bookmark (Firefox). The export favorite function is great to use because if your computer crashes you will loose all those valuable favorites and bookmarks you have saved. What this does is save you’re your favorites and bookmarks to your computer. It makes a file so you can import your favorites and restore them. Lets go through the save favorite (IE) and bookmark favorite (Firefox).

Follow these simple steps to save favorites for IE6.
- Open IE6- File -> Import and Export…
- Next -> Export Favorites and Next ->
- Next (this will export all of them) -> Pick a folder where you want to save the export favorite file, we picked My Documents ->
- Finish (a window should pop up and say successful)
*** For an import favorite select, Import Favorite instead of the Export Favorite in step 3. ***
Export Favorite (Internet Explorer 7)
Lets save favorites for IE7.
- Open IE7
- Click on this pic and scroll to Import and Export…
- Next -> Export Favorites and Next
- Next (this will export all of them) -> Pick a folder where you want to save the export favorite file, we picked My Documents- Finish (a window should pop up and say successful)
*** For an import favorite select, Import Favorite instead of the Export Favorite in step 3. ***
Export Bookmark (Firefox)
Export bookmark in Firefox.
- Open Firefox
- Go to Bookmarks -> Manage Bookmarks- File -> Export
- Pick where you want to save it and click Save- That’s it. You can close the Bookmark Manager window.
*** For an import bookmark select, Import instead of the Export in step 3 -> From File -> Find the file and select Open ***
The export favorite, export bookmark, and import favorite function is great to use so you do not loose those precious favorites and bookmarks or want to restore them.
